Golden sauce is a delicious, nutritious multipurpose sauce. Make it on Sunday and use it all week! It can be used warm or cold. It will be most convenient when you make it in advance and store in a tight container.
The key ingredient is nutritional yeast, which is a nutty, cheesy flavor that vegetarians of used for over 30 years. It is known to be a source of vitamin B12, which is often lacking in the vegetarian diet. Nutitional yeast is also a key ingredient in our MacNCheese healthy recipe.
A low fat, no sugar alternative to syrup or fake sweeteners. Wakes up even frozen waffles. We used a multi-grain frozen waffle from Trader Joe's! Use for pastas, pancakes, pizzas or as a sandwich spread. Great dipping sauce or with nachos!

-For margarine, we use a non hydrogenated spread. Products like Earth Balance and Healthy Harvest work well for this recipe.
-If you use Braggs Amino instead of tamari sauce, reduce by 1/2.
-It is best to use a wire wisk.
